Watching Top Gear from 2008 and JC is testing one.
Did Audi actually sell any after this ?
Don't ever recall seeing one though I do remember a single V12 TDI R8.

Only ever encountered one of these and they do have some serious poke. Pretty sure I've send a Toureg with a W12 badge too.

I remember watching that and seeing one soon after in the Maplin's car park of that big retail park just off the M5 near Bristol.

IIRC they were well over £100K!

There was was one at VMax a few years ago, which sprinted rather quickly up to the 155mph limiter IIRC.

Probably the closest thing at the time in production car terms that you could buy and legally run on public roads to a Le Mans winning prototype.

Think they did in LHD - don't think it was sold in the UK and may have been a limited run (though that's probably more due to demand than supply!)...

AUTOCAR seems to have tested a W12 toe-rag, and its performance is predictably impressive for a car that weighs slightly more than most moons.

Back on topic, I once came alongside a V12 Q7, didn't know it was the hot one until I thought my 150bhp VW diesel could have a go.

Acceleration probably feels quite surreal. Mate has recently picked up a V10 TDI Toerag, will have to give that a go to get a vague idea of the acceleration.

The 3 litre V6 TDi Q7 goes pretty well - the V12 must have starship performance, would love a drive in one

I can't recall ever seeing one, but have always admired the madness of it! I don't think they were on sale for that long really - certainly not now - and didn't seem to receive quite the same facelift as the rest of the Q7 range.

My sister used to have a V10 Toureg. She loved it. It was impressively fast for its size. The torque was unbelievable!!
She's a bit of car nut my sister lol. She bought an XKR after the toerag.....

The Toureg was an inconspicuous colour combo, grey with boring black leather and smallish alloys! The jag was BRG with cream and BRG leather!! She's in an Audi A5 3.0 TDI now. She's got a good job by the way lol.

Neither am I, but its the closest I'm likely to get. The V10 only has around 350bhp and 500lb/ft. Wimpy engine. I'll ask him to get it remapped before I get a drive.

The only one I've ever seen was in the back of West London Audi's showroom in 2010. It was up for £120,000 and riddled with Audi Exclusive. The yacht decking trim around the gear stick and in the doors looked brilliant.
