Could we have a voting system for features that have new cars in the style of the top gear cool wall and then have the 'wall' displayed on its own page?

So the radio button type vote (one per registered user)

Sub-Zero Fridge-bar (The Very Best), also referred to as the Aston fridge.
Sub-Zero (best)
Cool (good)
Uncool (bad)
Seriously uncool (worst)

on every car that is featured and voting stays open for 1-5 days then the results are locked down, majority secures the wall rating.

It would be a good, simple way of getting opinion on cars without sifting through the pages of chat about it (unless you want to of course), fun for the users, banter creator (member garage, auto lookup of the cars 'status' etc) and finally a good way of increasing site content by rehashing older cars for voting smile

Like or dislike?

Wouldn't that be a case of Haymarket plagiarising a BBC / Immediate concept? wink

The data already exists - the 0-10 PH scorecard on stories. You just need an editor type to select the stories that are relevant, i.e. are about new cars, and not duplicates.

However having them actually displayed in the fashion you describe would inevitably involve PH applying a web technology from this century, so don't hold your breath smile

We could have Minor Celebrity in a Cheap Car, we could get Garlick and Stuart to make family hatchbacks out of tractors, it'd be awesome!

Harris could talk to us about boot sizes and headroom while MattDell slates American rubbish. Great concept, we should pitch this to BBC2.

Clearly not car related, this should be in the lounge or TV areas. whistle

Ooh, can we have a lazy rehash of a PR email voting option too?
