I've just ordered a partition for the Z06 from www.corvettepartitions.com. The bit that provides a division between the boot and the cabin. They seem to be highly rated on Corvette Forum and are a fraction of what you'd pay anywhere else. The fully carpeted partition costs $199 but there's a promotion on at the moment for $149. The guy there (Brian Matthews)is very helpful and after some discussion about shipping rates ($118 UPS or $59 US Postal), he offered me the partition for $110 to help with shipping costs. So including the US Postal shipping it comes out at £98! Result! Obviously I'll have VAT and duty to pay but way way less than if I paid $399 for one of the other company's offerings.

For those of you with white Euro lights on the back of your imported Vettes, Sylvania Silverstar Signal bulbs are available from www.Autobarn.com with the wedge base at $20 a pair (3047NA). these are the silvered bulbs that make your front and rear indicators look silver/white and avoid the "fried egg" look. The site does say they won't accept your damned foreign credit cards but my order is being processed. America is slowing easing itself into the 19th Century.

I have been looking at that partition too so let us know what the quality is like.
The silvered bulbs look cool. I just need to find an alternative to those glow worm side lights....

and if there's any blu-tak left over you can sell it on to a C6 owner as

Perhaps you could also sell it to a certain ZR1 owner as a front number plate attachment kit...

Well the bulbs arrived today. What's that, 10 days? Although the parcel went to the wrong address first so was slightly delayed. I'll post a piccy showing the difference between them and the amber bulbs in due course.

Blimey, the partition finally arrived on the 8th December so if you want one in 7 days, UPS remains your best bet rather than the US and UK Postal Service.

Must unwrap it later.

No. I ordered one from LAPD but then they came back and said they didn't supply the UK as it was full of Johnny Foreigners who hadn't pledged allegiance to the flag and we were Grade 1 security risks or something like that so scratch them from your list of suppliers.

What you said about the flush mount kit put me off it so I didn't bother in the end (literally)since the point of it (to stop the grit accumulating) obviously didn't have much effect.

I'm thinking white side markesr at the rear although they seem a bit pricey although the collapse of the dollar makes them mre attractive. I'm also pondering a short shift boot to go with the BPP shifter but can't decide between black or electron blue. The latter sounds good in theory but may be too garish.

Funny you should say that - I have bought loads of stuff from dealers in the US without a problem except last week. I ordered $400 of stuff to be shipped to my sister in Seattle as we are going there for Xmas and I can pick it up from her (for obvious reasons). The dealer insisted that he could only ship to the billing address on my credit card (I regularly ship to my sister without problem) so I changed my credit card address to hers. I got my bank to fax him confirmation but still he wouldn't do it. I even told him I was decent and trustworthy but even that didn't work so eventually my sister paid him. All his took a week to sort out and whilst I appreciate he had to check the address out (mail order scams with a stolen card are a real problem) I was annoyed that I did more than he asked and still he wouldn't help.

The moral of the story is don't set your heart on any goodies until you can find a way to pay for them.

I use www.madvet.com (MidAmerica Motorworks) whose website accepts outside US orders and Corvettes Of Houston (who, like West Coast, you have to fax).

Here's the partition from www.corvettepartition.com

and here it is fitted:
