We are a medium sized manufacturing firm who specialize in tubular and sheet metal fabrications mainly for the automotive/motorsport industry.
We are seeking a MIG/TIG Welder with tube and sheet working skills to join our expending team, manufacturing a wide range of products in mild/stainless steel, aluminium and other more exotic materials.
Duties include:
Be able to read and understand engineering drawings, then be able to us this information to produce parts.
Accurately weld various laser cut or fabricated assemblies.
Fabricating/modify bespoke parts using hand tools.
Using a tube bending machine.
Finishing parts to an acceptable level.
Be able to inspect parts using hand held measuring devices.
A small amount of powder coating.
Pack and label parts ready for dispatch.
We need a flexible attitude and able to work on their own initiative within a dynamic team.
Essential skills:
MIG welding.
Fabrication including drilling, grinding and sawing.
Ability to read engineering drawings.
Desirable skills:
TIG welding (aluminium, stainless and mild steel).
Metal bending using CNC press.
Tube bending using CNC bender.
Although experience is preferred we are more than happy to meet people without, who are keen to learn the above skills.
