Just came back from the presentation

It is even nicer than in photos. Very aggressive and very well proportioned
Very usable boot. Like the driving position (rather low) with everything well positioned around you
Cannot wait to try one
Sadly we could not turn the engine on

And there were a lot of other beatiful "sisters"

I do like these, but think they just look too big. They could do with an 4/5ths size model!

I thought the rag top was gorgeous, but that coupe is STUNNING! From every angle it's a beauty, I can't wait to see one up close. Well done Jaguar!

The F-Type coupe very nice...much better than convertible.

XKR-S ---> just plain hideous. It's definitely a bag-on-head proposition.

I remember my Dad taking me there many, many moons ago- I got to sit in an XJ220!

Now I feel really old...

That's my local, I've bought a lot of parts from them over the years though never an actual car.

When my daughter was small they gave her a Jaguar teddy bear, she is now saving up for an XJ hehe

My friend was invited to a presentation for the F Type Coupe and factory tour of XJ production line in October and invited me along for the day. The car looked fantastic, way better than the convertible. Not sure about the pricing though, it is way too expensive if you go for the V8 and a load of options. Probably good value if you stick with the smaller engine and don't tick too many boxes.

My contact at Watford said the majority of the Type R model were touching or exceeding £100k once the option boxes were ticked, the main deciding factor whether the the £100k was exceeded were the CC brake option.

Looks lovely but that is going to take a hit in depreciation in 2/3 years as its just far too expensive.

Shame because if they sold the R @ £60 - 70k they would remove the 911 market overnight!

Best Combo imo. Especially the Orange stitch. Cant wait for you to lend it to me for the weekend :-p Funnily enough there is a used droptop same spec, which I would be so tempted for, but the coup looks so slick!

So how did it go Timbo? Anyone else ordered the new R coupe and are there some discounts available.
