The sound of modern sonar.....

I was trying to explain to someone the other day that modern active sonar does not sound like the traditional "ping" noise you hear on films.

I couldn't describe it. As a civvy, I have spent a lot of time at sea on warships and have mostly heard British 2016 active sonar which sounds like a squeaking door. I also remember hearing a multi toned set that sounded like "three blind mice"

I can't find any recordings on line. Can anyone here help?
