New car for the wife. What do you reckon??

Looking at changing the wife's car in the next couple of months & don't know what to go for.
She's currently driving a 2008 1.8 vectra sri
Must be.....

5 door
Decent mpg (current car averages 33mpg) so nothing less than 25mpg
Ford focus size
No older than 3yrs
Not a skoda (her, not me on this one)
£10k budget

She wants a Qashqai but I'm not to keen on them.

Ford Focus? Fantastic cars, for their category, but chances are she'll always want the horrid Quashqai.

If she wants a Qashqai and its her going to be driving it, why would your opinion override this?

I drive the car quite a lot too & just thought if there was something a bit more interesting out there she might consider it.

Carrying kids or adults around, what kind of length journeys will she use it for, how often, that info would help

She does aprox 10k miles pa
Mostly round town but we use her car for camping holidays in the uk.
We've got a daughter & prob want one more child some day.
