Good place to sell guitars
Discussion
I've been trying to sell a couple of guitars on ebay without much luck. They're not expensive guitars and I don't think I'm asking too much but there's not a lot of interest as they're not particularly main stream. Is there anywhere else anyone has had luck with for selling 2nd hand guitars?
Thanks,
Mark

I've had some success selling back to my local guitar shop, but they're reluctant to take non-mainstream stuff as it doesn't sell well. What are you trying to sell?
Sadly we don't have a local guitar shop any more.A fender tie dye start for about £150 or so and a Burny SG copy for about £300. They're both really nice guitars but well outside the mainstream which I think may be the issue.
The SG I would see taking a while to sell. Gibson/Epiphone players are just in it for the badge, to the extent they'll actually persevere with the instrument just to be seen with the Gibson brand in their hands. So a copy could take a while to go. The Strat, on the other hand, I would expect to sell with relative ease.
However, gear sales have been in a slump for about six years now. Even looking on Ebay for Jackson Soloists, I can see one a model down the tree from mine listed by a private seller that was for sale when I bought my guitar in the summer of last year!

The strat is kind of a weird strat though if I'm honest. There's not much info on the web but if you're interested you can search for tie dye stratocaster on ebay and mine is the one that's half the price of the other two. I like it but the kind of person it would suit would probably buy a jackson or something like that. It's an acquired taste to look at.
I know what you're saying about the burny and gibson people. It's just the way it is I guess but it certainly plays better than epiphone sgs I've had a go on but never played a real one.
It's cool, I like both of them so don't mind keeping them but I am aware I probably have too many and I could do with making some room if I want any more guitars
. I never play these two so thought I'd sell them to show willing. The fender is on ebay so I'll see how that goes.
Screw it, you can't have too many guitars, right?
