Morning all, I'm shortly to be purchasing my first Chim and was wandering if anyone knew of any workbook manuals available as I would like to try a few of the more basic maintenance jobs myself rather than pay the often extortionate garage prices. Something similar to a Haynes manual would be great.
Thanks in advance....

Hi Zippee

Everyone will tell you to get the Bible and it is well worth purchasing. Have a look at www.tvrbooks.com

I think you can get a Haynes manual for the Rover V8 aswell.

Do a search on the forum....

Steve Heath's Bible covers most DIY jobs. I do most repairs myself and quirky access points aside, it's not too bad. You may need to take up yoga to contort yourself into getting a hand inside the door cavities to fix rattly windows and changing a throttle cable requires lying in the footwell with your feet in the air. It's worth it though - your biggest problem will be wiping the cheesy grin off your face.

Thanks guys, just had a quick look and it does seem pretty comprehensive. Think that will have to be added to my Xmas pressie list. Budget is going to be fairly tight for the first few months after purchase so the more jobs I can do myself the better. Will also give a sense of smug satisfaction knowing that I did it!!!
