Seen this one - http://www.sterlingperformance.co.uk/used-cars/lan... looks nice but they describe it as a facelift.

Based on limited searching (Wiki), there seem to be some changes from 2005 into 2006/7. 2005/6 is described as external(although I don't know what)so not exactly obvious enough to describe as 'facelift'. Internally, the introduction of the touchscreen satnav is.

In 2007 though there appears to be big changes but how much of this matters in the real world? Terrain Response for example and an electronic rear diff for the SC? Did the brakes change on the SC too?

Wikipedia:

"On the inside, the hidden folding cup holder that popped out of the centre console in previous models was replaced by a simpler and more durable in-console design with sliding covers — similar in concept, but higher quality, to those in the Range Rover Sport. The ignition switch was moved from the lower part of the centre console up to the dashboard, next to the steering wheel and the Range Rover received the Range Rover Sport / LR3's Terrain Response system as well as a redesigned four-wheel drive control panel.
The handbrake is now electronic. Additionally, the seats differ from the old style, slightly resembling the new Range Rover Sport with cooling fans optional on the HSE and standard on the Supercharged. Other changes for 2007 include better brakes, a revised suspension, and Land Rover's Terrain Response system. Supercharged Range Rover's will also use an electronic rear differential. The interior was also refined, with optional cooled front seats and more cargo capacity."

Have a check on this link, L322 and check the details under the model years: details US spec, but that pretty much ties to UK too (from what I know):
http://www.rangerovers.net/modelspecs/index.html

When I was looking for my S/C, I wanted the Terrain Response version - that was introduced for MY 2007. The one I bought is a MY 2007 but is registered Nov 2006 (56-plate). I think the MY changes were in September of prior year (might be wrong, but that seems to ring a bell). So mine an early MY 2007.

Also, check out fullfatrr - this link has some good detail... here

wicked, that answers my question perfectly.

So the next question is, is it worth paying a premium for the 2007 model over the 2006?

I think it is. I own a 2007 S/C.

You get free digital TV. Ok, moot point that you rarely use it, but at least it's there.

The interior is better. The seats on a S/C are cooled as well as heated.

The centre console switchgear is better.

But, the BMW era seats (pre-2007) are far more comfortable in my opinion.

Then again, the pre-2007 S/C models are very good value for money.

Look at both and then decide.

Yup >2007

Yet the older front seats were indeed more comfortable and had more back adjustment options
