I'm doing a bit of research on turbocharged PETROL engines and would like to collect a cross section of data across different cars, if owners of turbocharged cars could answer it would be greatly appreciated. They can be old, new, factory or aftermarket. Doesn't really matter but I'd need to know which.

I'm looking for:

A brief description of the engine. I.e "Standard 2008 BMW N52" or "1998 Honda B18 with a bolt on turbo" Etc etc.

Bore
Stroke
Cylinders
Compression Ratio

Peak Torque
Boost pressure
Ignition advance (if known).
Intake temperature (if known).

The main thing I am interested in is the boost pressure and compression ratio though, that bit is the core of the research.

TIA!

Look for online copies of car brochures, most will give you all the information you require, bar ignition advance. Or buy:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Four-stroke-Performance-Tu...

and

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Forced-Induction-Performan...

I already own those.

I need a wide range of engine specs, not only current models but also old and aftermarket, hence asking here.

Presumably from the ignition advance thing, you're only looking at petrol cars?

Saab B235R HOT:

90mm x 90mm Bore/Stroke
9.3 : 1 Compression ratio

Inline 4 cylinders
Boost pressure at peak torque I think about 900 - 1100mb depending on what the ECU thinks is necessary.

Peak torque as standard is 350Nm (258 lb-ft) at 1900rpm

Those are stock numbers, I don't know ignition advance or intake temperature unfortunately.

I would say that would be running all standard turbo, internals etc. Pretty much the limit though but makes for a pretty swift ride!

Is diesel any good to you here too?

Vauxhall 1.9CDTi 16V Z19DTH engine.

Bore: 80mm
Stroke: 90.4mm
4 cylinders
16.5:1 (I think, not sure on that one.)

(standard -240ft/lbs)

20psi boost
(will try and find out start of injection timing if you need it)
Temp normally about 40*C on a 18*C day

(modified with hybrid turbo, front mount intercooler and race clutch - 410ft/lbs at 2400rpm)
28psi boost
As above, will find SOI if needed
Temp approx 27*C at same ambient temperature

Yes sorry, should have said petrol only.

Also forgot to mention, the torque figure would be useful too!

Thanks for the ones so far.

I've the standard t28 in mine and made 286bhp/300lb/ft last dyno, before full exhaust was done. Should be in the 290's somewhere. Definitely pushing the turbo though, after a BB t28r for mine for some quicker spoools.

Standard 2002 Subaru Legacy GTB EJ208, sequential twin turbo.

1994cc 4-cyl Boxer
92mm bore
75mm stroke

9:1 compression ratio (or maybe 9.5:1, I forget - higher than most Subarus though)

Boost pressure somewhere around 15psi, I never got round to fitting a boost gauge to know exactly.

Peak torque 343Nm (253 lb-ft) according to Subaru figures.
