Do these car buying companies let you take your car in, get the valuation and give you 7 days to take it back and get the money or do you have to do a deal there and then? Im buying a new car but dont want to trade in but i will need a car all the time for work and to go round the car garages.

Yes it goes up if you get an online valuation and then don't respond for a week or two- in my case at least.
I found that as well. Get it valued on-line. Be honest with ALL stone chips and other damage and then wait a week. You may find it would pay you to get the damage fixed first (especially alloys) as they do charge quite a bit. WBAC charge £70 per alloy if they are curbed. I managed to get a good deal on mine when I got rid of it to WBAC.jamie128 said:

Out of interest, why don't you want to trade in?I've always managed to better WBAC by about 10-20% through a normal trade in.

Trade in on my car is 2000 wbac online offered 2300, what do people mean wait a week and itll go up?
If you put in your correct email address, in about a week it will go up by about £100. However be warned they do look closely at the bodywork and will knock down quite a bit. Make sure you detail every little scratch on the quote and then see if it is still worth it. For me it was. I was about £400 better in the end, despite them knocking 3400 off for a few scratches and a damaged alloy. I got what the quote said as I was honest in my appraisal of my car. They originally offered me what their system said, however when queried, they checked the online quote and honoured it.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
