May I suggest you get a different brand of tyre? Not only are P-Zeros hard to get hold of now, they're also utterly crap on the Elise in winter weather.

False economy IMHO.

Agree with Bonce.

Stick a pair of Toyos on instead.

or some Goodrich Profilers like what i've got.

You should be able to get a few quid for the fronts Mark which would go towards a new set.

main dealers may have some if you really want to stick with P-zeros

Have to agree with Bonce,

Sick and tired of 20mph arse out antics on wet, positive camber corners.

I'm going for a full set of Advans as soon as there are enough pennies in the kitty.

I will be getting shot of my part worn P Zeros but I'm afraid it probably won't be until next year.

Hi, if you are really want a pair try 01252879911 Trade Tyres in Sandhurst. Last i heared they had some in stock. It seems that Lotus have snapped up 95% of the stock from Pirreli and are putting a 60% increase on the prices, 225's are about £160 each and 185's £110 each from a Lotus dealer! 225's from Trade tyres are £96 i think. But you could get a set of Advan's:

www.bell-colvill.co.uk/Shop/Details.asp?SearchString=tyres&Id=ADVAN for £425.

Best of luck, D4V KC

Small point made to me by Jonny of Bookatrack fame but the Pirelli fronts will also fit on a Pug 205 Gti so you may be able to shift them (or pick up part worn spares) via a Pug owner club. My Dad took my old ones off my hands for his when I upgraded to Advans.

My other half 'cleared' the funds for a new set all round after a bit of slow speed ballet on a roundabout one morning.

Don't do it. Quote her the price of a new clam plus labour, spraying etc and then talk about £400 for a set of Advans.

P Zero's are called "zero's" on Elises for one reason only... they are of absolutely zero use to you once it starts to rain.

Lifted from my Seloc post earlier today about Toyo T1-Rs

Having now had on my T1-Rs for 300 miles testing them in the dry round the same bend I drive round every night I can say they grip a good bit more than the standard bridgestones, managed about 46mph round the tightest bit of the bend, whereas before the fronts (okay 175s not 185s) let go at about 42 before.

Had to do an emergency stop earlier today too and they were much better at stopping with bite before locking up than the bridgestones.

This might all just be a result of them being 10mm wider at the front, but, in all conditions they seem to be an improvement than the OE bridgestones.

Only question now is how long they last as they feel like a soft rubber. But if they grip well and its the difference between car and ditch, who cares how long they last!
