Thinking about it...
Discussion
I'm really thinking about selling my 996 and buying a Cerbera.
How many different models (engine wise) of Cerbera are there?
Are there any good Specialists in Yorkshire for servicing/parts?
My 996 is just a weekend car so mileage is low, only covering 2-3K a year and the Cerbera will be the same.
Are there any specific things to look out for when buying, apart from the usual wear and tear?
I was also wondering if there are any local owners who wouldn't mind me having a look around there own car? I have never actually seen a Cerbera up close and the only TVR I have seen locally is a light blue Tuscan. I live a few miles south of Wakefield.

Harrogate Horseless Carriages would a good bet for servicing
big difference in cars. obviously 996 u just jump in and drive but cerb you have to remember a lot and it really keeps you on your toes.
there are a lot of differences between the 3 engines and it really depends on what you want from the car.
You pay for what u get, low teens expect work needed straight away, high teens no work needed imminent but will do at some point in the future, in the 20's you should be expecting something that has had a total overhaul and should be relatively trouble free
the cerbera forum is filled with info and resource just search whatever u want to know and you'll probably find it.
If you go in with your eyes open and can handle the less appealing parts of cerbera ownership you will have a car that gives you the same sort of feeling as a car worth 6 figures every time you get in it!

All I'd say is; Don't get too hung up on engine size with the Cerb... Even the 4.0 is more than capable of killing you!!!

Consider the £180k SLR in the classifieds today, 617 and 1980kg, compare that with a Joolz sorted 4.5, 410 and 1200kg. 311 bhp/ton vs 341 bhp/ton - Oh Yea!

That'll probably be why I'm so bloody slow then. Never driven a car which so naturally reacted to the environment rather than me getting in the way.Only been given a lift in a 996 - was blown away by the clutch/gearbox system.
I wouldn't worry about engine sizes (but then I wouldn't as I have the best one)
.As I always advise, try and get one from someone who's cared for her and knows a little bit more than the average tyre-kicker/bull-$hitter.
Oh, and most importantly, I see that you already know that Black one's are faster

Bon chance
Word of Warning !
Just realised that you haven't even seen one. Well, after the boring, repetitive and plain styling of a 996(IMHO), You will want a Cerb as soon as you see one. Don't go to your first acquaintance with your wallet in your possession.
:DHe may not like it though - they are quite "fitted" feeling. Personally I like that, but many find Cerberas claustrophibic or even just a bit too hardcore if used to something which is more more every-day user friendly.
Cerberas are awesome, but IMHO there has to be something wrong with you to actually want to own one
