Petrol Station Drama
Discussion
Just came out of the petrol station when I noticed a Ford Ka being attacked by a Mondeo that was trying to force it's way past at an impossible angle.
Young teenage girl (in typical subtle Doncaster manner) screaming what the F* are you doing.
She's too shaken and in the moment to act calmly (in tears by now) - bloke who's hit her is not really helping, by smugly smiling - there was apparently some interaction previously where she cut him up, but that does not excuse him driving into her...
Eventually (with little help from Tesco staff) got her calmed down and their details exchanged together with mine as witness (for some reason bloke did not need my details - he know's he's in the wrong). He's rubbing away saying it's £10 damage. He's wrong - but it's nothing more than superficial and easily fixed.
It's a strange drama filled day.

If he rammed her on purpose then he is looking at a dangerous driving charge and a 12 month ban
Report it ASAP
Agree, scary to think of someone like that on the road.Report it ASAP
Attacking a girl in a KA, brave chap.
She was not fit, and I'm of an age that I'd be unlikely to consider a teenager. She was probably the age of my step-son and I'd like to think that a similar like minded person would help him out in a similar position.
I'll not be askMID'ing, mainly as I did not take their details (no real need to do so as I'd made sure that they had exchanged them themselves). His was a pretty new Mondeo and I'm confident will be insured.
To be honest, assuming that she knows someone with a reasonable car head, she will be far better getting it sorted herself rather than speaking to her insurance company. Hopefully she's got a dad who can deal with the Mondeo driver and extract the cash.
It was less of a ram. From what I can gather the guy had been trying to get to the petrol pump, but lost the race. Rather than wait he tried to go past her and caught his nearside rear door on her rear corner. He was miles off getting past.

Had a letter from an Accident Management Company on this asking for a witness statement. Looks like they are going for it.
Not really sure how I feel. On the one had the Mondeo driver was asking for it. On the other the damamge/mark really was very minor.
Either way statement completed and gone back.

I had a chap drive into me on a roundabout. Old boy. Didn't stop. Had to give chase to catch him.Not really sure how I feel. On the one had the Mondeo driver was asking for it. On the other the damamge/mark really was very minor.

He claimed he didn't know he hit me. Then got out the car, looked at the damage and whilst looking at the marks on my car muttered "it didn't feel that bad" (his misses then gave him a b
king
).I could just sense this fella was going to be a total pain in the arse. My spidey senses were correct, so I got an accident management company (Europa - the chap's on here). The guy initially proceeded to say it was my fault. Then, his. Then 50:50. Europa eventually presented all these different stories to the insurance companies and they immediately assigned 100% of the responsibility to him.
If the other person is playing silly buggers, it's worth it.

. People like this make me so angry. He KNEW he hit you, yet carried on regardless and then had the temerity to DENY it?! Glad you got him in the end.I do worry about people who hit things and claim they didn't realise. I have been (a passenger) in a couple of fairly small shunts, you certainly feel it even if someone taps you at 5mph!
Old guys like the above grind my gears in particular as someone of that description was responsible for killing my grandfather - he decided that pulling across the A14 is perfectly acceptable at low speeds, without using mirrors or checking for oncoming traffic - in that case, a motorcycle with my Grandad on it.

'I didn't do it' - the immediate response of a cretin. Reminds me of this from a while back: www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ex6dHzcgOE
(Incident at 3:20, driver's complete denial from 4:50) - been on here before, but still absolutely gobsmacking, but credit to the lads that not only stopped to make sure the guy was ok, but also enabled the Police to nab the driver with the footage.
