Ben - try going to Library > Library Filter > Metadata.
i'm pretty sure it will allow you to filter on things like focal length or aperture as well as which camera. I'm sure that I would have been on LR 2 back in 2008. You can certainly do this now in 5.
But it may be that a plug-in doesn't have to have the latest version - i.e. the data's always been there, it's just a matter of finding it.
ETA - screen shot in LR5...

Cheers, didn't know it could do that! Apparently my most common shutter speed (at least since I got this computer late last year) is 1/200. i'm pretty sure it will allow you to filter on things like focal length or aperture as well as which camera.
