Anti-roll bar / stabilizer
Discussion
ola
why gtr does not have the anti roll- bar / stabilizer ant+post????
for me is necessary.....because gtr have roll , even if imposed stiff shock absorbers to the max.
in the picture you see that rolls in corners, even if you do not hear a lot of driving that reel.
what do you think??
I'm planning to install it........
very thanksssss at all

mother??? ah ah
no no. in the past I had problems with the joints that broke when they lost fat
shock absorbers are adjustable and have never lost oil.
because no one has provided the anti-roll bars?
almost all cars have.
also adjusting shock absorbers all rigid this is useless: the crying back into the pits but the gtr on the track rolls and pitching (see photos)
gtr is not flat but is inclined!!!
I was thinking of adding a roll-bar behind, the heaviest part of the gtr
What do you think?
no one has tried here??

I've just watched the Ultima GTR Top Gear track video to observe body roll in the corners, or the lack of it. What is noticeable is the heavy braking before turning into the apex of the corners. With the second photo published above it looks as if turn in without braking before the apex. So much so that the apex of the corner was missed and under steer & excessive roll occurred.

Didn't the factory have the "optional" anti roll bar fitted for TG lap?macgtech said:
We have found our kit (which is fully adjustable) essential on track. I imagine they would be a bit unforgiving on the road. Looking at tweaking the design slightly to make adjustment easier, for when it changes from dry to wet or visa versa mid race.
presumably that's a rotating blade design?Justaredbadge said:

Currently they (both front and rear) are only adjustable by changing the mounting point on the bar, to lengthen/shorten the lever arm. We will, at some point, go to a blade type design at one end which will be adjustable from the cockpit.yes they are not too good on the road as they cause the car to dart side to side on undulated roads.. mega stiff.
also I have to completely remove them when not in use as they run so close to steering arm, if I disconnected at one end only I would hit steering and cause a crash.
yes I think anti roll bars were on record car as I think mine was built around the same time.

thanks to all for the valuable advice.
But in my opinion, when it is wet or turn on the normal road, just adjust the shock absorbers in max -soft mode? (with the bars installed).
now in the street with shock absorbers max-hard I break my back ....and even putting them soft, in the potholes in the road, everyday changes little;
track: max-hard shock absorbers are insufficient.!!
I will install the rear bar for now, if it is not enough, I will install a front bar also, but I think only rear is sufficient, because the extra weight is back..
i hope.....

its not the springs or shocks thats the problem on the road.. its the size of the roll bar tubing is so stiff if a wheel hits a hump or hole on one side the other side suspension moves as a result. a smaller bar would be better for the road, but the bars were not designed for the road but the track..But in my opinion, when it is wet or turn on the normal road, just adjust the shock absorbers in max -soft mode?
