Temporary insurance?

Any advice on where to look for temporary insurance ie for days, weeks or a month at a time?

Just doing a bit of research if I buy something whilst I currently have my current motor to sell after purchasing?

Ask your current insurer/whoever will insure the new vehicle. Many will extend cover to your old car for a short period so you can sell it.

I'm in a similar situation - can't sell until my new lease car is delivered - my insurer (Admiral) told me to transfer the full policy to the new car (as I'll be using that) and they can set up a temporary (from weeks to 3 months IIRC) policy on the other car, for which I'd remove all superfluous caluses, such as business use; additional drivers; reduce the mileage to a minimal amount etc.

No idea of cost though, just checked they could do it.
