Garage problem query

Took our mazda bongo to a local garage on friday to have a fuel leak sorted, all the coolant hoses replaced and a service.
Picked it up friday and drove home 5 miles stop start traffic no problems.
Took it out yesterday and within a mile the temp gauge started rising limped home and there is no coolant in the expansion tank, plus it's still leaking fuel.
Now when i phone the garage up what should i be looking at them doing to resolve this?
My problem is the engine is aluminium so overheating often leads to cracked heads also i don't want to start/drive it to the garage as there could be a airlock and lead to more damamge to the engine.
What really pisses me off is we decided to replace all the rubber hoses to prevent it overheating and that's what happened.

Presumably you have paid for a job they have failed to carry out correctly, their responsibility to complete it. You really should have no issue if they are a decent outfit...

Presumably you have paid for a job they have failed to carry out correctly, their responsibility to complete it. You really should have no issue if they are a decent outfit...
So should i just say what's happened then wait to see what they suggest, if they say get it to them so they can look at it i'm sort of caught in a catch 22 situation.

Not good. I'm guessing your garage isn't a Bongo specialist of any kind?
I don't know why, but Bongos can be tricky to bleed if you haven't done one before, and they're prone to HGF. Also, by the time you notice the overheating and coolant loss, the damage is usually done to the head, which is a £1500+ job to replace. This is why it's worth fitting a low coolant alarm.

My main worry is how will I know if the heads gone, for all I know they could refill coolant and bleed the system then air gets in thru the warped head and I'm back to square one.

A simple boil over wont do it any harm. Driving it with no coolant in is much more likely to do harm. They aren't the ones who drove it after it started getting hot. You should have stopped straight away.
The engines have aluminium heads so when it overheats they warp and are no longer air tight leading to more overheating.Phoned garage this morning they came out with the intention to bleed it refill it and drive it back to there garage then decided they'd get it back on a low loader.
They say the bottom hose had a split , pressure tested it and everythings fine and head gasket/head all ok supposedly.
Anything else i should be asking them to check?
