Locked Off

Hello everyone.
New to this site/forum but I'm going to keep my question simple.
I have a '97 mk3 Golf, the fob for the central locking is no longer in use but the key used for the ignition isn't the corresponding key for any of the locks. So I'm looking to change the pins in the lock barrels to fit the key but I don't know how to remove the barrel from the door handle itself.......Any ideas please?

I did this on a 6n2 polo so it may be completely different. I seem to remember there being a screw perpendicular to the lock on the sill of the door when you open it. (Hope that makes sense. Undo that and I think, it came straight out?

Hi Tom.
Thanks for the reply but unfortunately that's not what I'm after. I've already removed the (o/s door) handle from the door but what I'm looking for is how to remove the actual lock cylinder from the handle itself so I can then change the pins in it to fit the key I have.
