IPMS Huddersfield Model Show (pics)
Discussion
Not a bad day today at Huddersfield. Won first, second and third prizes in 1:72 scale aircraft (modified) for my recent Spitfire, Defiant and Hawk builds:

So can't really complain
Here are some other models that caught my eye:
This Caudron racer won model of the show - well deserved too:

Class winner for 1:144 was this great little Super Hornet with digital camo:

This lovely Dassault Flamant won the OOB class in 1:72:

My AT_AT didn't win anything:

Nor did the OOB Airfix Gladiator, but 3 out of 5 isn't bad:

Thanks guys!
Perdu - never mind the result; don't you find competitions massively improve your modelling? They certainly have done for me.
Felt a bit sorry for whoever entered that He 219; beautifully built and painted model, but let down by the post-shading IMO. You need serious airbrush skills to get it right.

Some superb models on show there - i love the table full of Phantoms.
Brilliant stuff & well done gr dn.
I was down in Wincanton yesterday & noticed a couple of large shows for a model show somewhere down in the area - the sign also said something about a model of Concorde.
Anyone know anything about it as would love to see some photos.

Thanks guys - it was a surprising result. I'm not sure whether the judges knew those 3 entries were from the same person or not, presumably they did. TBH the standard in that class wasn't the best I've ever seen (I think there were only 7 or so in total), but nevertheless I'm chuffed with the result.
I'm thinking about starting a modelling blog where I can record all my builds and techniques, as much for my own reference as anything else. I tend to forget processes, and have to make the same errors to re-learn them for subsequent models. If I had my own website I could refer to it myself, and other people (maybe those who've pm'd me on PH and BM regarding techniques) could also use it as a resource if they were interested? I've won three best in class awards now, with 4 seconds and 2 thirds in the past 3 years, so I feel I've at least got a bit of credibility to do it.

Congratulations on your awards, I remember seeing some of those being built here!
I'm looking forward to moving into my new flat shortly so I can dig out my tools and start building again; I've the Revell 1:144 C-17 sat staring at me waiting to be built!

The Revell C-17 is a very nice kit.

There's some fantastic builds there, I'm loving the table of WWII Bombers!
