Enjoy it mate, it is a cracking wedge that goes like stink and sounds like thunder. Been looking at the Chimaera and there is not much about. The red 390SE looks like it would be a bit of a ball ache to get sorted over here.

Looking for a nice Chimaera or a nice 390SE I think.

The sale has just been about trying something different. Regardless of what I end up in the way the white beast went, I am going to struggle to match that I know.

I have always said I love all TVR so maybe now is time to try something new....

Hope you guys still talk to me, love it in here, great bunch.

Depends what you want from a sports car. The Chim /Griff alternatives can give you as little or as much as you want, depending how much you want to spend. They are, on avarage, 150kg or so lighter than a wedge so a good 400 Chim is going to feel quite strong.

They have better weight distribution out of the box, so installing a good set of coilovers & having it corner weighted is going to make it ... IMHO ... handle better than any Wedge.

You'll have to spend a lot of money on a Wedge to get it to handle like a standard Chim or Griff. yes

I may be qualified to help - have had numerous Wedges, Chims and Griffs.

Nothing sounds quite as good as a Wedge but generally much better handling and finish in the Chims and Griffs...

PS congrats on the sale Wyn.

I don't think a cooking 390 would do anything better than that 400, Rob.

I know it wont do anything like it Ian as I said I know I wont match the performance of the white beast, but the exclusivity of the 390SE does appeal for a tidy one.

Rob..you sold her?? Just as I come back to Wedges, you leave. What a shame.
Glad she has gone to another Wedge fan who will look after her. She was always one of my favourites!
I did try a Chimaera 450 but..I came back to the Wedge. I just felt more passion for our Wedges.
I look forward to seeing what you get next, and it would be great if you stuck around. smile

Thought I'd post up this quite famous..or should I say 'infamous' picture when I had this Wedge. She's a cracker, enjoy!
