Hey guys,

One of my external handles didn't come off too well so was thinking of trying to get some later ones with tvr stamped on.

Anyone know where I can get a pair??

No luck with this? I'd also like a new set.

Hi Mate...I had TVR embossed door handles on my 280i..However they definitely wasn't standard as i got them off of a friend, I would still like them to be fair but i managed to buy a refurbed chrome set with keys..Almost brand new..The TVR ones are like rocking horse poo and even the original source from Cortina mk3 are few and far between..There is this place that have some but they are a bit overpriced, I paid £90 for my set but they new barrels and fresh cut keys.

Old parts store...(Just click on Cortina mk3)
http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&...

The ones advertised have no barrels but they do come out fairly easily as its only a grub screw that holds them in..I will have a pair up for grabs but they are not chrome, They are black and will need a repaint which probably would make them look nice..The barrels can be swapped over so that your original key fits....Cheers....Ziga

Anyone ever got rid of the handles and replaced them with the button under the mirrors like the later tvr's? Then filled in the recess were the handles were which I think would look awesome.

The ones on my S1 Tasmin are the same as the ones on my old Taimar

Maybe worth trying some of the classic tvr specialists such as David Gerald or Adrian@ Exactly TVR

eek..You have destroyed the classic look of a very rare car...If you wanted keyless entry you should of bought a TVR Wedge and adapted that..laugh

Yeah...Pictures please.....Ziga
