Good mtb riding

A family member from down South is visiting for the week and has asked me to take him for a ride. I like trail centres and go regular to winlatter , kielder and 7 stanes but I was wondering if anyone had any other ideas

all the local trails here are currently swamp like

hence Id go for a trail centre if I were you, pref one you know will be OK under foot/tyre

Gizburn on the edge of the lakes?

Gisburn is the one i was trying to think of is that good? I will do some searching when i get home. Are there a few trails there?

I've only just bought a bike (yesterday) after years away from riding, but my friend goes there a lot and likes it. A mixture of fast stuff and technical stuff apparently. I think it's one big loop, about 1:30hrs ish (could be wrong though).

Gisburn is really good,went a couple of weeks back and did the red route and a couple of runs down the Hope line,weather was terrible but the trail was in good condition with a few big puddles. Well worth a trip.

Done some searching tonight and I think I'll go to grizdale, looks like there's a few loops and watched some vids on you tube and it looks pretty good

Dalby Forest is worth considering. Trails for all abilities and bike hire available on-site.

The full red route is 23 mile but you can mix it with green and blue to suit.

Went to grizdale today and was disappointed to find the black shut and there was nothing on the web site to say it was going to be shut
