When I ordered my parts at the Factory, I asked for a 50mm extension of the shaft.

I have just extended mine by 28mm, think it will depend on which stalks you fit and how you fit them. I would suggest fitting the stalks first then measuring to see how much longer the shaft needs to be for your particular application.

Crossram, would UK indicator switch/stalks = USA turn signal switch

I looked at corsa arms too, but they have no push button horn, so back to ford again...

Dom, If you haven't already. go talk to Steve at AB. I went my own way initially, looking first at escort and other stuff, thinking I could find a unique and good looking solution, which meant buying, trying etc, and frankly wasted a lot of time.

AB have a full Ford kit + have the loom to fit to make life very easy, and almost plug n' play and it was!

Not worth the hassle doing it any other way if you want stalks IMHO. I think Mark (365) and others chose that route also.

Hope that helps

I too started the DIY route and found it much easier to just swallow (deeply) and buy from AB.

Just about plug and play an 40mm sounds right.

I agree! The AB kit is simplicity in itself.... I got dazzled by their machined aluminium versions, so spent a bit more than was strictly needed.... and I'm VERY glad I did!!!

Their stuff is expensive on the face of it, but the quality and time it takes to produce each item make them good value for money in my opinion. Got the ally ones like 356.

But back to the original question, I extended 40mm.

I installed the indicators and regret it. Would have prefer to have the wheel closer to the dash and indicators and lights etc just on a bidirectional switch.

Makes for an awkward driving position for me. but saying that I am short in the legs. So I'm really close to the wheel when I sit in the car.
