Leather seat restoration (if that is the right word)

Just picked up a very neat Celica 140 -very happy with it for £3k. There are one or two imperfections, but generally its very straight.

I am going to start to rectify the little niggles over the coming months, but the seats are the ones I need advice on as I am not sure how to tackle.

The propblem is that there is the typical scuff on the drivers seat bolster on the door side caused by the passage of an arse over is 3,650 times (assuming daily use for twn years). As a result there is a patch around 10 sq inches I guess, where it is scuffed. What are they best solutions for dealing with it?

Which worked miracles on a faded scuffed leather seats also get some leather cleaner and conditioner as well

If you are confident enough you could recolour the scuff yourself...

try furniture clinic stuff , you can pretty much sand down and respray the seat

they have how to's and before n after pics on the site

+1 for Furniture Clinic. Superb stuff. I stripped and redyed the black leather on my Passat about 5 years ago and it still looks great. Helpful guys too with lots of experience.
