Hi,

I recently bought a tvr 400se. The car looks great.
However, the exhaust manifold on the O/S (driver's side)is much to low to the ground. (less than 3")
You can see on the picture the difference (in height) between the 2 manifolds

Is it normal that the manifold is much lower than the chassis??
In Belgium there is a minimal ground clearence of 4 1/2" to pass the (Belgian MOT)

Lower than the chassis is common, however that looks a bit low even by TVR standards... my right-hand manifold has more patches than a Microsoft product due to grounding.

Since when did Belgium use inches? ;^}) (That's my Poirot smiley)

Yes seems a bit low to me too I suppose you could have a section cut out of the downpipe part and welded back together. Or get some bigger wheels for MOT time 8^)

hi stephan

i cannot see the two pipes ?

but it maybe as simple as undoing the engine mounts (car jack underneath) and re-bolt a little higher
