Recommend me an Aerial Fitter/Electrician - South Derbyshire
Discussion
As titled please...
I've recently moved into a house in Hatton and my TV won't find any channels. Previous owners just used Sky I think.
I've checked in the loft and there's no sign of any cable damage. However, there doesn't seem to be an amplifier either, just a 1 - 2 way splitter. I'd buy an amplifier to try with the current aerial, but there aren't any power sockets or lights in the loft so I'd need to get a socket put in. Additionally, my next door neighbours appear to have an aerial like mine and also a bigger newer looking one, so I suspect an amplifier alone might not do the trick.
Ideally I'd like a socket to plug in a light in the loft anyway, so with aerial replacement looking to be around £100 all in, how much more should I expect to pay for a couple of sockets as well?
Thanks

Hi Mike,
I wasn't saying they were the same, I wasn't sure if I needed one or the other or both.
I got someone out before your reply from rated people and it turned out a previous owner had removed the power supply for the masthead amplifier, so it was a cheaper fix than I expected
Thanks for your reply though

That's a common problem Matt. People leave and take the PSU, not realising that one needs the other. Anyway, i'm glad you sorted it cheaply and whoever did it for you sounds honest. Unfortunately a lot of other aerial guys would try it on and get whatever they can from you.
cheers Mick
