Hey guys,

I bought some aftermarket Lupo lights for a conversion. My bodywork specialist started the work but turns out the lights are a bag of crap. Does anyone know where I can get lights to do the conversion, I have a bodywork and electrics specialist but my shortcuts are now costing me dearly... My chim has not been driven for a long time and she is very sad.
Cheers

Go to a VW parts supplier.

I paid about £50.00 each a few years ago.

Hi Phil, yes, the lights are not authentic VW, they are aftermarket and do not have two way adjustables at the back, they also are not compliant with UK law and I cannot get it through the MOT with these units in.

When I did mine I got them from EuroCarParts, remember they were a recognisable brand name, possibly "Hella" ?

Mine were probably aftermarket, 2 adjusters fitted.

The oem ones are magnetti marelli or Bosch.
Steve Edwards is doing mine next week.

He said he's had problems with pattern headlights and had to do extra work to make them fit.

I got marelli ones cheap £20 each from breakers. But on close inspection they were scratched and glass a little dull. Wanted it perfect so stumped up for some new.
As said £60 from eurocarparts was the cheapest I found.

Book yourself in with Steve edwards, his work looks fantastic. He even makes a bespoke bracket for the light to sit on , like Nick at willow. Better that than being gobbed in with filler?

My thoughts exactly - Steve is starting on mine this weekend. Only lupo conversion I've seen that I liked

When fitted correctly they look a treat and smarten up the front end with nice shiny lights that are useful even in the dark !!!!

Totally agree but Steve is in Halifax and I`m in Nottingham .Carizma have a good reputation and have specialised in TVR`s for some years .

The lights are all lined up by the MOT man so all should be well .

MOT man only has a certain amount of adjustment. Make sure they are right as part of the conversion.

I found out the hard way !!
