J.E.Engineering dyno'd that engine on their bench dyo at 293bhp @ 6500rpm. It came from the factory originally as a 420SE, then in 89 it went back to the factory for the '450SE conversion' which was a capacity increase to 4.4 litres, big valve heads & the large plenum & intake. It was then rebuilt again in 1992ish at J.E.Engineering who gave it the 234 cam & roller rockers as I recall.
I've had a Griff 500, a Chim 430 & this thing is head & shoulders faster. Quite flat down low but flippin brutal up top.

Also, the gearbox was rebuilt at some stage & the whole lot has only done about 10-15k miles!

Thanks Wyn for the cracking history on the creature. Couldn't have put it better myself she really is a beast. Had forgotten about that picture of the outriggers will have to dig out all the respray images etc.
unfortunately chapperssx doesn't look like I will be bringing her to the BBWF this year as circumstances have changed and it looks like I will have to put her up for sale :-( hope whoever has her next brings her down for the sound off ;-)

Its a shame Wyn that you and the creature cant be re-united. She is an amazing motor and i will be gutted to see her go.
Its in cracking condition inside and out. Just stuck 6 mths tax on it and shes MOT'd till November.

Open to sensible offers :-)
