Let's say, theoretically speaking, you had designed some nifty new products that appeal to petrol heads. These products are well received, but they're costly to make and take a long time, because you need to pay someone else to make them for you. This has lead to some significant re-sellers pulling out of a deal until you can bring the costs down.
Let's say, theoretically again, that you wanted to start a Kickstarter campaign, to raise the money needed to buy the equipment to manufacture your products at home.
You'd need exposure for this Kickstarter campaign, lots of it to. Figure it would need to be seen by at least 30,000 people and to get at least 0.5% of them to back the project.
Now, promoting this theoretical campaign via car forums is not an option. Instead, you'd need to get the link featured on blogs, in magazines and on facebook pages, where the rules on advertising are not so draconian. You've got a few lined up that you are aware of for the marques of car you own, but you need more. Lots more.
Where would you start? Bearing in mind these products are not focussed on any particular marque or model.
Basically, if there's some facebook pages, blogs or magazines specific to particular marques or models, that could potentially be persuaded to help with promoting a car enthusiast focussed Kickstarter project, I'd love to hear about them.
I must re-iterate that this is totally theoretical, I am absolutely not doing anything of the sort, just in case the powers that be think I'm advertising something. I'm not.
