Iphone 4S speaker/Dock issues, anyone experienced this?

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has experienced the issue that my IPHONE 4S randomly got lastnight as it seems millions have experienced it but no one has a specific fix for it.

Anyway lastnight on facetime my daughter could not here me all of a sudden, so I called her and she could hear me, I put headphones in and there was sound, I connected the phone to a docking station and the sound played fine.

As soon as I have no headphones or dock connected NOTHING at all, only vibrates. No sounds, no lock/unlock sound, no keypad sound, no alarm, ring tones nothing until I reconnect headphones or a dock.

I have tried everything from cleaning out any dust to blowing air through it to a complete factory reset and restore from backup and still the problem exists.

Has anyone else faced this or got any ideas before I have to look at trying to replace the dock connector and speaker?

PS I have also looked at the accessibility settings, noise cancelling options etc...
