Not the clearest of topics, but Id say that a Classic Impreza is extremely quick, but not a particularly fast car.

I will guess that the OP is looking for people to differentiate between the two levels of performance (quick, bettered by fast), but its far from clear and the thread will definitely lose direction quickly.

I wouldn't define "quick" or "fast" in terms of 0-60, 0-100 is more valid as some cars with reasonable 0-60s start to tail off as they approach 100, and when you're getting on it, how often do you stop at 60? The next 40mph on the clock are pretty important in terms of a car's pace on the road.

I would say 0-60 may define quick and 0-100 may define fast. There or thereabouts.

I would probably describe something light on it's feet with good acceleration as "quick" regardless of the top speed. Something like a large GT with a higher top speed I would describe as "fast"... I think.

So, quick - Elise etc. Fast - DB9 etc

You saying an EVO or similar isn`t fast even when capable of 60mpg in under 4 seconds and around 170mph? Not sure that logic holds.

For me, a quick car is one with a good 0-60 time (sub 7 ) and a fast car is one that continues on past that without much of a drop in acceleration until past 100.

Quick for me is sub 6 seconds to 60 around 12 to 100. Fast is sub 5 and sub 10 to 100. Rapid is going out in the mates Litchfield GT-R.
