Target Cars - Es Eindhoven
Discussion
I was there and saw the grey and red T350s, also the green Sag. They readily told us everything and they didn't try to hide the fact, that some of the cars were CAT cases. Spent 5h there, they showed us around, let us inspect the cars thoroughly. Really nice people, too.
Personally i saw too much work to get the T350s into a proper state, so i didn't take the offer.

I bought my 1997 4.2 Cerbera overthere. It is a cash and carry. The cars are stil on uk plates, so if they are cat c or d, you should be able to see it. In my opinion they buy cars in the uk which have little damages or are cat c or d. They got a good deal to buy the car because of these facts and put them on sale overhere. For us it is a advantage to have someone you can go to, have a look and drive home when you do not like it. I rarely saw cars in a mint condition, where you could change the front and rear lights and have a lot of fun. My Cerbera had serious engine damage after 1.500 miles. They had another Cerbera which was bought by another dutchman and this car also had complete enginefailure after 1000-2000 miles. Could be bad luck, but if i lived in the uk i would try to get the bargain they are looking for in the uk. Or just spend some time looking at the different tvr's which are on sale in the uk. The amount of cars to choose from is much better on you side of the sea.
They must buy their cars at stupidly low prices to be able to afford to hang onto them for so long. From everything I have read I would spend 10 to 15% more and get a know car.
Quite amazing that they now have the green Sag up for £2K more than I sold mine for, I'm sure it started at £30K

I'm sure there was a thread not so long ago, asking a similar question and despite people saying much the same thing, the OP on that thread went to have a look and may even have purchased - will see if I can find it.

Hi,
We were looking at target cars for this particular T350 which seemed tempting given the spec and it's price in comparison with what else is on the market - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t...
As others have mentioned, go in there with your eyes wide open. We were close to making the trip for this one, but found the contact at Target to be awkward and difficult to retrieve a straight answer to questions via email.
We also found he was not prepared to move on the price at all. And I mean, no flexibility what so ever. I think this could be why he holds on to these cars for literally years at a time.

The two T350s they have were advertised at about £18.5k towards the end of last year, the prices were raised to £19,950 in January 2014 - they still haven't found any buyers though.Gassing Station | General TVR Stuff & Gossip | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
