Viper in San Francisco? (Or maybe Corvette)

Corvette yes, Viper perhaps (I guess from a rent-a-day type company)
I did this on my honeymoon. Rented via Hertz Adrenaline Collection at the airport - pre-book well in advance. It was epic. Well worth all the holiday spending money I could have saved on a rubbish chevy matiz (or similar)...The corvette is available but the piccy isn't on the front of their website.
From the other cars they had available, The Mustang GT premium looked really good in the carpark, as did the Camaro SS.
All have more than enough grunt to scare the wife silly.
One more thing, take a squishy bag for luggage and they swallow quite a lot of stuff in the boot.
Work through the website booking here (https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/reservation/#) and then select something available for your dates. Having a look now, they have a C63 AMG, 911 and all sorts of other cool stuff under a new 'dream cars' section. Enjoy.

corvette /camaro ss /mustang /challenger from hertz will be around £350-450 a week depending on when you book and if theres any sales on
paid nearer that for one day on a viper gts in vegas , tbh unless youre a driving god the vette is much more user friendly and you would have to be fairly silly to crash it , the viper trys to kill you all day long

Vegas or LA. Fly in to one of those and give yourself a Viper road trip either up through Death Valley or up the coastal highway. Adds a day either end of your trip but to say that it is worth it is an understatement. Can anybody find a Viper to rent in SF? I've had a good old search with no luck. You can struggle in SF because it is very white, gay middle class and 'Eco'.

It's also full of young engineers with a lot of disposable income. Go cruise around the Google/Facebook/etc parking lots and you'll find plenty of exotica. (and a s
t-ton of Priuses, but that' s no different to LA, and at least some of the hybrids in the bay valley will drive themselves....)FWIW, Hertz have the biggest hire car presence at SFO, and there's usually last-minute availability there on a bunch of prestige/performance cars. No Vipers, but they definitely keep Corvettes (and 911s, C63 AMGs, Camaro SS, Penske GT Mustangs). Unfortunately, you won't find any manual gearboxes though

I can certainly state that running a Viper through Death Valley is worth doing.
Had a 2011 V8 Mustang with under 1000 miles on the clock from Hertz at SF airport for my honeymoon, spent the first 7 days of the trip hooning about san fran and the across the dessert to Vegas where i dropped it off. Epic and a trip i will never forget. Divorce however should be complete soon, one of the only high points of the marriage!
