Does anyone know of any safe cheap (or free) parking close to Hull ferry terminal?

I'm going away for a week this Saturday evening and need to leave my car there. The port itself has parking but it is £7 per 24 hours so will cost me over £50 for the week. That's more than the GDP of Hull I reckon. bds.

Anyway, any tips would be greatly appreciated chums.

Docks are way out of town really, so I'm not sure there's a sensible alternative. The area near the docks isn't somewhere I'd consider leaving a decent car parked up in the street.

Admittedly its a few years since I was at the Hull terminal but there was parking at the terminal - like 500 footsteps away.

Stu,

Thanks for two reasons:

1) The facts.
2) Assuming I'll be in a nice car.

I put something up in the travel section and they all agreed - the car will be on bricks if left unguarded smile

I'm going to stump up the £50-60 to park it next to the P&O chairman.

You are not going to get jack in the way of anywhere else to park and not get stung for parking and a taxi.

Trust me when I say there is NOWHERE near by that you would leave a car other than in the dock area if using the ferries... If you did you are going to be looking at more than £50 bill to pay or no car at all.

My folks happily leave their TTS there (several times last year) and have had no issues, the nearest places that are not crap are miles away from the dock and would be £15+ each way anyway in taxis.
