Thinking of selling the seats in my wife's Puma (don't worry, she is aware) smileI believe they came from a Ford Racing Ka and doing some research they seem quite expensive, how would we definitely find out if they are original Racing Ka seats or if they have just been recovered and are just plain Sparcos.

I think you will find that they were a Ford accessory from the late 90s. There was a catalogue produced or a couple of years. There was not a Racing KA but they do look very similar to the blue ones found in the Racing PUMA.

I have found info on the Racing Ka, it looks like it was an options package available through Ford, the seats are the same as the FRP but came in grey instead of blue.

The Racing Ka was a one off I believe - eventually became the SportKa.

The seats were the same as the FRP, but covered in grey rather than blue. If they are genuine there should be a part number on them starting 909 (as all the Racing Ka bits, like arches and dampers, etc)

Seem to recall someone telling me that the seats were actually NOT Sparcos, but retrimmed as such - never got to the bottom of whether that was true or not.

The FRK was for sale on PH a few years ago...
