I'm stuck in Wakefield for the rest of the week on my own. I'm also a shopaholic is there anything around the area? Or do I have to make a dash for the traford centre to get the likes of selfridges or John Lewis?

Also anything else you can think to entertain the usual PHer. Snow dome / museum / something car or petrol head related?

Snow dome at Castleford... (also outlet centre)

Jump on train to Leeds - Harvey Nichols, Victoria Quarter and the new Trinity Development, all within 10 mins of the station.

White Rose center at Leeds - although it's just a generic big mall.

Saying that half of Leeds needs bulldozing. There's no nice areas within a 2 mile radius of the city centre apart from Roundhay which is a bh to get to

Upper Headingley is ok (near the Met), and Chapel Allerton is nice?

Never knew about this place.. Tempted to jump on train in for a pint and a burger!

Is it the sort of place you'd look a knob at on your own (not that I'm too bothered)
