There have been a few around that money in the PH classifieds over the last few months, with around 20/30k on the clock.
I must admit, some of these tempt me...
These were The Car of my youth and now in my mid 30s I fancy another, mint one.
I have bought a fully restored Clio Williams from this forum in the last few weeks and I'd like a restored (or very low mile) 205 GTi to keep it company!
£15k does seem steep though... £5k's worth of a 'good' 70k mile car and a full strip, paint and mechanical rebuild should still see you shy of £10k all in, which seems a better deal!

I guess their point is, the car has not been refurbished, as it is even more valuable....I must admit, some of these tempt me...

I'm not always convinced by that argument.... Look at the number of restored Ferrari's for example - they don't really make less money, using original parts.If it's done to manufacturer standards (or better) with 100% manufacturer parts/ specs then no one should be able to tell, hence it makes no odds.
If it was done with pattern and 3rd party parts then it's no longer as original.
This is priced that high due to the low mileage, I'd guess... a 70k miles fully restored car will never be worth the same with those miles on the clock, so to speak. Whether that's right or wrong depends on your reason for buying, I guess.
I don't see them getting £15k for this car... Yet. I'd also guess they'd price an identical mileage, non-cat recorded but fully restored car at the same money but a car with 20k on the clock requiring restoration is probably a rare beast.
I'd be tempted at £10k though, if it was perfect. These cars are massively mileage sensitive now, due to the vast majority being over 100k and us Brits hating cars over 100k. I gave one away around 10 years ago. Literally gave it away! Bought two others, both excellent for less than £1k as well. Should have stuck a load of them in a barn somewhere!
