Just chopped in the Boxster for a 2003 Cayenne S (due to the old cliche...addition to the family! )

I know the consensus is that they are not the prettiest things in the world, but you just have to drive it to believe it. I flew from London to Glasgow yesterday and drove it home in one go

It just lapped the miles (and the optimax) up!!

It has most of the toys a boy could wish for (Off Road design package, Xenons, BOSE, PCM with Phone, Turbo alloys, multi function steering wheel), but its missing park assist.

The main reason for my post is to ask if anyone knows if a decent parking system can be fitted?

What sort of a price does a boxster get px'd for nowadays....just wondering.....

Hope you have leather in the cayenne, my kids spewed for a past-time, and youngest still does (21months). MUST have leather in cars as it wipes off...

I like the cayenne.

Any decent sprayer could fit it, and the kits are readily available (ebay always has them coming in from HK)

Surely in the Cayenne parking assist is normally "if it dont move, it get squashed!"

Depends on the model/spec

Not a lot to be honest - taken a reasonable hit with the announcement of the new model, but prices might bounce back in the summer.

For example, bought mine new June 2003 £37K , put 17K on the clock, was offered £26K in October this year (16months old) by OPC as trade in.

This is low as OPCs take the piss, but still not great elsewhere.

If you're going to buy a boxster, do it now - prices won't get any softer.

I hope you don't join the "I own the road cos I'm in a big fast mother" club.

I was minding my own business yesterday when one of these sailed straight onto the roundabout, forcing me to brake hard. I then had to follow the son of a b, and witnessed him do it twice more, before he turned right with no indication!

As i have a 6 week old daughter in the back, I am hoping to behave myself. Besides there are so many idiots on the road you cannot take for granted that anyone would yield no matter what you are in!

The other week a young kid in a bashed up corsa invited me to drive in to him! He was basically driving like a tw4t and tried to cut in front of me. You can bet that he was uninsured.

On the subject of the boxster price, i paid Hatfield OPC £31k in May 01 for a 1998 2.5 with 32k miles. We sold it privately at £16,150 with 54k miles. No dealer would touch it, but i thought that was a great price for the buyer. The car was very nice condition with fsh.
