Tyres for speed events / road use - Lotus Elan

I see that the tyres currently fitted on my 65 Lotus Elan S2 (Falken ZE-502's - 165/65R13 - fitted on 5in Minilites) are likely to be removed from the MSA 1A list next year, so I need to start thinking ahead.

Any thoughts on alternatives (must be from the 1A list & 165 width max - S2 Elans do not have the flared rear arches of later models - 175's will not fit without body mods or new wheels with different offsets)
