New Audi TT first look

Interior has been seen already, here's what to expect from outside the TT

For 'first design sketches of the new Audi TT' we can probably infer 'arty pics of the new TT on big wheels'. Audi are famed for making concepts/sketches into largely unchanged production models (the original TT for example, Le Mans quattro to R8, Pikes Peak to Q7) and this looks likely to be another.

Very clearly a TT from here!

We've already seen the interior of the next TT which and these latest images of the exterior suggest a similar design theme; there are familiar cues from contemporary Audis and the previous TT as well as some fresh innovation.

The back of the third-gen TT is strongly reminiscent of the original coupe, the lights and exhaust pipes almost imitations. Heck, even that glasshouse is familiar.

There are more significant changes at the front, with a more prominent grille and the obligatory LEDs. Audi keenly stress the 'tornado line' where the wheelarch meets bonnet join and continues along the car. A 'powerful, athletic look' with an 'impression of tension' is promised by Audi. From these sketches it looks updated rather than new, but will surely prove popular nonetheless.

Audi hasn't released any tech details yet, so expect the full lowdown at its unveiling on March 4.

Newsflash - the new TT will be a somewhat sleeker version of the same "upside down bathtub" style that every single Audi shares.

They should probably raise it off the ground a bit, call it the QTT and fill a further niche!

They will sell loads and do rather well with them. Actually I like the current TT either the 2.0 FSI or the TTS (I prefer this to the RS, more useable)

I have always thought the TT's are ugly things.

The shape just doesnt feel right, Not a bathtub so much, but more an upside down wash basin.

This ones the same, I hate the bubble effect of the roof.

Saw a black TT drive past the other day and thought it looked great. I almost quite fancied one.

Imagine if a car maker made the next model smaller and started with the previous generation proportions!

I had a mk1, have a mk2-TTS. I don't see the next release in my future. We already knew what it was going to look like without camoed pics and these scetches. If the perform major miracles with the handling then maybe I'll give it a look but expectations are low.

Finally a picture on the New TT and its a fecking Drawing....

I've seen the new car & its very similar to the current model but is a little more edgy and sculpted...

The chassis is all new and the materials used and better so although looking the same/ similar its a new car underneath and i would advise anyone who gets the chance to drive the current model and then drive the new one and you will notice the difference.
