Just chopped in my Range Rover for a Porsche 996 Carrera 4S.

Cost to change £500
Selling the spare set of 20" RR wheels nets me £500
Refund from insurer having changed vehicles two months into policy £230
Reduction in 12 months car tax £215

Full service history. Comprehensive engine rebuild by Hartech at a cost of £8000 with upgraded IMS two years ago. New set of N rated tyres put on by selling garage. Full service by OPC prior to collection.

Should be good for at least a year of motoring without dipping my hand in my pocket....

I only kept the Range for 6 months. I previously had a V10 Audi S6 and got bored. Fancied a 4x4 for the winter that never came and for a change. Never got on with it. Was just like a huge ocean cruiser even though I knew what it should have been like.

I also missed having something with a bit of straight line speed.
