Still searching for a chim
Discussion
Evening all, well after an eventful day with wyn and his chim last Sunday (lovely car and top guy, but things just weren't meant to be on the day) I am still on the hunt for a nice one and half the ones I have called from the classifieds are actually sold and they haven't removed the adverts
so does anyone on here know of anybody that might be looking at selling at all, or one of you guys yourselves?
Any help will be appreciated, cheers.

I have no idea what you're after and what your budget is. Im not sure what this car would be like but if I hadn't bought mine already I would enquire about this one.

Thanks for the replies guys, I have asked for some images to be sent over of this car tonight funnily enough, the owner says new clutch, new outriggers and all roof and bodywork in good order etc, full history too. Is the mileage of 91000 not really an issue on these with appropriate servicing obviously? Thanks.
Ha oh right. I think you may have competition as someone else just posted that they need advice and the car they are about to view sounds very much like this one.
I read a bit about mileage before getting mine and to be honest in the main the consensus seems to be that they are better when they are used regularly and as long as they're looked after and have history it's more about coniditon than mileage.

Hi Matt, very good to meet you Sunday. Bin a hectic week. The chap who left a deposit pulled out, had another viewing yesterday, put the camera under the car this evening for some chassis pics & found this.....
Had absolutely no idea it had developed so quick. They were clean back in the summer.

Emailed these pics to the other chap this evening pronto. Time for a serious re-think now.
Stuttering problem + outriggers = Restoration time.
She lulled me in to a false sense of security by behaving since I had a good sort out in the footwell with the relays etc.

Good luck with everything Matt.

I know how hard it is to find a good one. I booked a train to London to have a look at a chim last month. I took a bottle of whiskey to drown my sorrows if the car was crap.
I cracked it open as I bought the train tickets for the journey back

Cheap? Sounds ridiculous to me.
