Hi all.

Looking for a small amp to handle.

2 guitars
Bass guitar
My electric drum kit.

Its only for the family to have a mess about on so no need for gigging.

Is there anything <£250 that anyone can give advice on?

Cheers.

You could look at something along the lines of a small PA system with suitable multi effects units acting as amp sims for the guitars and bass. Maybe even use an iPad or iPhone for the amp sim if you bought suitable interfaces, but the Apogee Jam isn't cheap.

Can't think anything else would give you the full range output you need for the bass and the kick drum. £250 might get you the small PA but not the effects boxes too.

I got to the same place as you. I was thinking of a keyboard amp, but was was wondering about how they will perform with a guitar.

Must get some time to get me unto the shops!

All suggestions welcome.

As Jenson said, I would look at things like the Vyper, a Fender Mustang and maybe Vox VT+ . Im preety sure Blackstar do soemthing similar now too.

The vypyr does the reverse of the op request though, it takes a normal guitar signal and processes it to simulate a bass or acoustic. I'm not at all sure that the speaker would sound good on a real bass or kick drum.

Looks like keyboard amp plus cheap effects boxes are the way to go.
