Is this some cunning ploy to get round the two men working rule?

The whole point of this dates back 100 years to the first world war, called "dazzle painting". It made it very difficult to work out speed, direction etc. and conceals in this case some of the aerodynamic tweaks

I think the op is talking about the half photoshopped out engineer rather than the paint scheme. Interesting photo though!http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSgC_KG5lF...

thats nothing new the teams have all been doing that for years, the rule relates to over the line and touching the car
