Hi Folks,

I bought a 2004 TD4 Freelander for my wife to drive, and after only 2 months and maybe 100 miles (we've not been around much this year!) the SRS light has come on.

My mother-in-law has taken it to a Halfords auto centre to have the diagnostics check and it brought up the following fault codes:

9008 Drivers airbag resistance too high
9048 Seatbelt pretensioners too high

I bought it from a 2nd hand dealer as it was the right spec for what we wanted. Am I right in thinking that dealers have to offer a certain level of warranty? Or is that pub talk bullsh*t? Remember the car has literally covered 100 miles since purchase, 20 miles of that was driving back home!

If not, does anyone know roughly how much this might cost to get replaced? Is it a dealer only job or can any grease monkey back street garage tackle it?

Any help appreciated as my wife is due to drive the car out here to Italy a week on Monday, so I want to make sure its safe should the worse happen on the long drive frown
