Hatchbacks with retractable load covers?

Was wondering the other day if there are many hatchbacks which have estate-style retractable load covers instead of standard parcel shelves?

Reason being that I'd like a hatch, but a few times a week the mutt comes in the car with me and so having to take a parcel shelf out each time is a pain, but I don't like leaving them off permanently.

Only one I can think of off the top of my head is the Alfa 147 - anyone know of any others?

The A3 also has one - not sure how early, but definitely 2006-2012 models, could be all the way back to the original!

Bit out of sorts but my old citroen xsara coupe didn't have a retractable parcel shelf but a clever storage idea.

If you didn't need the parcel shelf you would lift it out, turn it round then it would slide against the back seat and clip into the original pivot meaning it was hard against the rear seat with the underside facing into the boot ideal for when i used to put my dog in.

Perhaps other cars may still do this to widen your search.

Impreza wagon had one, most would consider it an estate but as it had the same wheelbase as the saloon I always thought of it as a hatchback version.

I think quite a few cars may have this solution, my current Citroen C4 does this & a Golf GTI I used to own more than 10 years ago did.

The 2004 on Octavia doesn't have a retractable cover, but the shelf slots behind the rear seats very neatly meaning you take it with you when not using it.

I had a series one 147 and still have a series two. They don't have an 'estate-style retractable load cover instead of a standard parcel shelf unless it was introduced in the last few days of production.

Possibly but as far as I knew other than the actual rear quarters and tailgate it was the same and Subaru themselves touted it as a hatch ...always ready to be proved wrong though.
