Big Merc:

300SEL 6.3 - built from 1968 to 1972.

Boom: 250 brake, 0-100 mph: 14.6 seconds, 1/4 mile: 14.2 seconds, Vmax: 229 km/h / 142.3 mph.

Racing pedigree that comes with a classy interior.

And that badge. I like the two-tone.

Can't think of a more desirable saloon car.

Classic my dad had one in gold, I remember it well. The switch in the foot well was for the air suspension, it could be set for three different levels I think. I loved that car, enjoy

Don't like the rollcage / seats in the Blue one, Lagerlout's looks perfect!

My pal's Dad had one of these. He took us for spin and floored the accelerator from around 30mph. It was my first real experience of neck bending acceleration. I was learning to drive at the time in a Vauxhall Viva, which I thought performed quite well until the 6.3 demo!

I love these. Imposing 'get out of my way' style with the power to back it up, unlike most contemporary Mercs.

I'll never own one, but a 'dream garage' car for suresmile
