Anyone got a spare wheelchair I could have a loan of?
Discussion
Hi, I was wondering if someone might be able to help?
A friend has got cancer, and is now so weak he needs a wheelchair to get about.
The 'system' is slowly grinding along to get him one, but to help get him out in the interim I was wondering if anyone has a spare, ideally which can fold to fit in an estate, just to we can get him out?
I will return it when he has his own, which will only be 'a few weeks' he has been told.
If it's in Central Scotland then even better!
Thanks!

The Red Cross will loan one to you. I don't think there is any charge though a donation is appreciated. I had one about a year ago from their branch in the old fire station on Grangemouth Road in Falkirk (near the college). Just phoned and they had it ready to pick up in a couple of hours. Thye may have recently moved to Bathgate though

Hope this helps. I found them very accommodating.

PS I had a folding one which fitted in car no problem.
